The A-Team (1983–1987) is an NBC television series, created by Stephen J. Cannell, featuring the adventures of a band of ex-military men who, unfairly accused of a wartime crime, evade government pursuers while doing good deeds for assorted people across the United States.

Introduction

Ten years ago, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem...if no one else can help...and if you can find them...maybe you can hire The A- Team. Introduction to each episode, played before the theme song. After Season One, the introduction was changed to, "In 1972..."
