Charlie: We're heading for a tunnel.
Willy Wonka: Oh yeah. Full speed ahead.
Mike: Why is everything here completely pointless?
Charlie: Candy doesn't have to have a point. That's why it's candy.
Augustus: I'm Augustus Gloop. I love your chocolate.
Willy Wonka: I can see that... so do I, I never expected to have so much in common.
Violet: I'm Violet Beauregarde.

Grandma Josephine: Have you ever seen a single person going into that factory?
Charlie: There must be people working there.
Grandpa Joe: The only thing that comes out of that place is the candy. I'd give anything in the world just to see that amazing factory.
Veruca: Look over there!
Willy Wonka: They're oompa-loompas.

Mrs. Gloop: Augustus, please don't eat your fingers!
Augustus: But I taste so good.
Willy Wonka: Don't worry about Veruca. They only light the incinerator on Tuesdays.
Mike Teavee: Today IS Tuesday.

Veruca Salt: Then shouldn't you be up there?[points to stage]
Willy Wonka: Well, I couldn't very well watch the show from up there, now, could I, little girl?
Grandpa Joe: Mr. Wonka, I don't know if you remember me, but I used to work here in the factory.
Willy Wonka: Were you one of those despicable spies who everyday tried to steal my life's work and sell it to those parasitic copy-cat candy-making cads?
Grandpa Joe: No, sir.

Mike: What's the prize?
Willy Wonka: The best kind of prize is a sur-prize!
Violet Beauregarde: What's so funny?
Willy Wonka: It must be from all those dog-gone cocoa beans. By the way, did you guys know that chocolate releases endorphins, which gives one the feeling of being in love.
Mrs. Beauregarde: (flirtily) You don't say?
Dr. Wonka: You know, just last week, I was reading in a very important medical journal that some children are allergic to chocolate... makes their noses itch.
Little Willy Wonka: Maybe I'm not allergic. I could try a piece.
Dr. Wonka: Really? But why take a chance? (burns the candy his son brought home)
Mr. Salt: (sees the Nut Room) Ah, here's a room I know all about. You see, I myself am in the nut business. (gives Wonka his business card. Wonka flings it away without looking at it) Do you use the Herphlex 4000?
Willy Wonka: No. Ha, ha, ha, ha. You're really weird.
Mrs. Beauregarde: (after Violet has turned into a blueberry) I can't have a blueberry for a daughter. How is she supposed to compete?
Veruca Salt: You could put her in a county fair.
Charlie: (asking about Violet's gum) Why hold onto it? Why not start a new piece?
Violet Beauregarde: Because then I wouldn't be a champion. I'd be a loser. Like you.
Charlie: (as the group moves on from the Chocolate Room) Are the Oompa Loompas really joking, Grandpa?
Grandpa Joe: Of course, they're joking. That boy will be fine.
(just before they walk off, Grandpa Joe's smile turns to a grim expression)
Willy Wonka: Let's keep on truckin'
Dr. Wonka: (knowing his son wants to be a chocolatier) Candy is a waste of time. No son of mine is going to be a chocolatier.
Little Willy Wonka: Then I'll run away. To Switzerland, Bavaria. The candy capitals of the world.
Dr. Wonka: Go ahead. But I won't be here when you come back.
Willy Wonka: Oh thank Heaven, he's completly unharmed.
Mr. Teavee: Unharmed!? What are you talking about!?
Mike Teavee: Just put me back in the other way!
Willy Wonka: There is no other way, it's teleVISION not telePHONE, there's quite a difference.
Mr. Teavee: Then what exactly do you propose to do about it?
Willy Wonka: I don't know, but young men are extremely springy, they stretch like mad...*gasp* Let's go put him in the taffy puller!
Mr. Teavea: Taffy puller!?
Willy Wonka: Hey! That was my idea!
Mrs. Beauregarde: What do you use Hair Cream for?
Willy Wonka: To lock in moisture, haha.
Veruca: Daddy! I want a flying glass elevator!
Mr. Salt: Veruca, the only thing you're going to get today is a bath, and that's final!
Veruca: But I WANT it!
Dr. Wonka: Do you have an appointment?
Charlie: No, but he's overdue.
Dr. Wonka: I haven't seen bicuspids like these since... since... Willy?
Willy Wonka: Hi Dad.
Dr. Wonka: All these years... and you haven't flossed.
