The Great poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan wrote mainly encouraging poems; encouraging to the extent of suggesting trying again when one has lost even the absolute.

His most popular work is Madhushala, literally meaning a pub or a bar. He has seen the world on the analogy of a Madhushala. Some verses of this great collection have been sung by the great singer Manna De in the audio cassette Madhushala.
